The Weymouth Pirate Festival over the Easter weekend is set to be good for businesses by attracting thousands of people to see staff of businesses, shops and pubs dressed up as Pirates on Easter Saturday. Pubs will be judged from 7pm onwards on Saturday night, and other businesses will be judged during the day on Saturday. We have been contacted from a Weymouth resident, who is a keen painter, asking for an arts and crafts shop in town. The resident and her husband have spoken to others who are interested in painting and art hobbies and all wanted a craft store in the town as they have to travel to Dorchester or Bridport to buy their materials. Best Bar None (BBN), a pub accreditation scheme has been launched today to ensure a safer drinking environment in licensed premises throughout the borough.
