A Business Improvement District (BID) scheme is a business-led initiative supported by government legislation which gives local businesses the power to ‘raise funds locally to be spent locally’ on improving their trading environment.
Volunteer, Make a Difference, Support your local Town
Weymouth BID is setting up a Volunteer Scheme of Weymouth Weyfarers that will provide a presence within the town to help enhance the experience of visitors throughout the year.
We are looking for people that have a good knowledge of the area are confident in dealing with people and recognise the benefits of great customer service.
Full Training provided, supported by Inspire 2012, a recognisable Weyfarer Uniform and based in Weymouth Town.

We are delighted to tell you about a brand new dining event FREE to all BID levy payers kicking off this coming October. This week the Weymouth BID have been training the first group of newly recruited “Weyfarers.” The Weyfarers will welcome visitors to the town and support the Weymouth BID in its aim to promote the area by providing help and assistance to visitors to the town. The scheme is based on the 2012 Olympic Ambassadors programme with the role of the Weyfarers being very similar. The Weyfarer programme will use of the “Inspire 2012” logo.
