A Business Improvement District (BID) scheme is a business-led initiative supported by government legislation which gives local businesses the power to ‘raise funds locally to be spent locally’ on improving their trading environment.

Weyfarer Volunteers

Volunteer, Make a Difference, Support your local Town

Weymouth BID is setting up a Volunteer Scheme of Weymouth Weyfarers that will provide a presence within the town to help enhance the experience of visitors throughout the year.

We are looking for people that have a good knowledge of the area are confident in dealing with people and recognise the benefits of great customer service.

Full Training provided, supported by Inspire 2012, a recognisable Weyfarer Uniform  and based in Weymouth Town.

The Weymouth BID has recently finished its first year. In this video, Nigel reed reviews events such as Halloween, Christmas Shownight and the BID as a whole. This year's Halloween event, Freaky Streets, and Christmas Shownight are already beginning to take shape and look to be even better than last year! The Weymouth BID will launch “Freaky Streets” a Halloween celebration providing lots of fun activities for the Half Term break in October. Freaky Streets follows on from the very successful Halloween Spooktacular which was held in 2013. Visitors to the event will be invited to take part in a hunt for “Freaky Friends” around the town starting on 25th October and ending on “Freaky Friday”, 31st October when a host of “Freaky” themed happenings ...
